Funny things don't always make you laugh

Funny how a friend of mine is sorta going through the same kinda stuff I am and worrying about the same things in life. Funny how she and I both got married on the same day. Funny how my husband's birthday is 1 day before her husband's birthday (but I dunno her husband's exact birth year). Funny how my son's birthday is also 1 day before her son's birthday (my son is older than hers by almost 1 year). Funny how we both have stepmoms (she's her dad's 1st wife's daughter and I'm my dad's 2nd wife's daughter). Funny how we both have one other sibling each, and we miss them because they're no longer staying with us. Funny. If you're reading this, you know who you are.

Remember what you said to me earlier today, about how we both should just fuck all and do what we really want to do in life? I guess we should, because life is short and a day wasted never comes back. Funny how people procrastinate on happiness because they're so afraid to take risks.

I'm not afraid to take risks, though, because with risks comes opportunities. With the right opportunities, you could have success right in your hands. (I hate sounding like a seminar speaker sometimes).

Trust me, my friend...I don't think a mother would ever regret watching her child grow and being there for him when he needs her. After all, what truly makes you happy?

Funny how we all know the answer to that question, and yet, funny how money makes the world go round.
