baby's day out...to mommy's (ex) workplace

Yesterday afternoon, I decided to bring Mikhail to my workplace for the first and last time. Will it be my last time there? I don't know; I don't think so. I might go back there another time to collect some stuff which I left behind. But as for Mikhail, he was definitely not too happy to go there. Why? Because he had dozed off in the car, and was woken up when I brought him out. He was sleepy. He was cranky. And most of all, he was in a don't-come-near-me-because-I-just-want-to-sleep mood.

He created a ruckus in the office. Everyone was disturbing and playing with him, and he got scared and pissed off. He cried. And then kept quiet. And then cried again. I'm sure the managers weren't too happy about me bringing a little kid into the busy call center on a weekday, but hey, I'm not working there anymore, and my friends wanted so much to see him. And I brought him all around the place to meet different people, and with every new face he saw, he made even more noise.

So after I have returned my ID, drawer keys and headset...I decided it was time for us to go. Yes there were still many more peeps who were calling us to their workstations and wanting to see him, but he started creating a din and I reckoned we have created enough buzz for one afternoon. Baby Mikhail wanted to get out of the place because Mommy has disturbed his sleep for a tad too long.

Sorry to all those peeps who were asking us to stay a while longer, and sorry to those who didn't get a chance to see Mikhail. We shall meet again one day.

This is how Mikhail looked like when I brought him back into the car...with his left thumb in his mouth, he had this "Aaaahhhhh....finally!" look on his face. I managed to snap this incredibly sleepy face of his. And moments after this picture was taken, Mikhail dozed off to dreamland again.
