A friend of mine said in a forum that marriage is a gamble. And it seems that everyone, except she and I, disagree. Here's what I think:
Marriage is a gamble. Not in terms of dollars and cents, not in terms of winning or losing. We don't mean gamble in the traditional sense of the word, or living with sins. It is a 'gamble' because in the true concept of a wedding, people put their hearts & souls into it, knowing that nothing is certain for sure in future. We can plan, but God decides. No matter how hard you try, if were to end up the opposite of our hopes and dreams, it will, because there is such a thing called fate(if you believe in it). Everyone wants to live happily ever after. We make vows in a marriage. But there can always be a twist of fate. That's why, metaphorically, marriage is a gamble. But if you don't believe in metaphors, you can call it whatever you like. After all, everyone has different perspectives.
Valentines
Someone asked me how I spent my Valentine's Day this year. My answer: I spent it at work. That's all. I got flowers & chocolates. It is our 1st date anniversary. It is my husband's mom's birthday. Other than that, 14th Feb is ultimately just a normal day.
Wish I may, wish I might
I never liked to have wishlists, because I don't like to keep track of what I don't or can't have. But I've finally decided to come up with a wishlist so that anyone who wants to be nice to me & give me stuff, can get them for me and make my day(unless I 've decided to get them myself).
My wishlist:
~ Sony Vaio notebook in pink
~ IPod Nano 4GB in black, with my name pasted in pink/white diamante
~ Sony SXRD™ 1080P Home Theater Front Projector VPL-VW100 for my hew house
~ A new job with at least 3x my current salary. Ok, 2x will do too.
~ Purple & pink old-school Puma jacket, size S (The last time I saw this, I was pregnant and I didnt buy it. Now I can't find it anywhere!)
~ A spankin' new black BMW
~ A whole new makeup & perfume set
~ A huge wardrobe full of the latest Guess and Coach bags
~ $1 million in my bank account overnight
~ ...
