My mom is thinking of getting a video phone, and she's urging everyone in the house to get 3g mobile phones so that she can talk to us AND see us at the same time. She thinks all this video telephony stuff is really amazing. Of course, I know what goes on in her head. She's not interested in the technology - she's interested in knowing our whereabouts when we're outside, what we're doing, who are we with, just so she could carry out her motherly & wifey duties of looking after her family members. Heck, if teleportation is possible, I'm sure she'd be the most frequent teleporter, teleporting herself from one place to another to make sure we're ok.
